Coeur des Bastides
The Coeur des Bastides includes Monflanquin, for example, which is not far from us. A little further away are Issigeac and Villeréal with their weekly markets.
Cahors
Cahors, with its old town, is a nice destination for an excursion. From St. Georges to Cahors, there are various places worth seeing. These include Puy-l’Évêque, Albas and Castelfranc. If you go a little further east, you can visit Saint-Cirq-Lapopie, a village that is somewhat overrun by tourists, but worth every visit.
Montauban
With 60,000 inhabitants, Montauban is already a larger city. The city centre consists of an old town with many small pretty shops. The old town is also well represented in terms of cuisine, with something for everyone.
Bordeaux
The world-famous city of Bordeaux scores with its architecture. The impressive promenade along the Garonne and many small shops in the old town invite you to spend a day there.
Toulouse
Toulouse also has a wonderful old town.
Sarlat-la-Canéda
It’s not only worth the trip for the village alone. On the way there, you can stop in many other villages, such as La Roque-Gageac, Castelnaud-La-chapelle, Beynac-et-Cazenac or Domme, to name but a few.
